Vaccination is a high priority for the NHS, to protect people from serious illness and to support NHS and adult social care resilience.
We are planning to co-administer the Flu and Covid-19 vaccination this Autumn and would recommend that you are vaccinated as early as possible, starting in October.
These are our dates for the Saturday morning sessions:
• Saturday 5th October
• Saturday 12th October
• Saturday 19th October
By appointment only between 8am-1pm
Eligibility
If you are in either of these cohorts, you will be invited to attend for vaccination, but please note that not all patients will be eligible for both the Flu & the Covid vaccinations:-

Flu & Covid
o Aged 65y and over
o Aged 18yrs to 64yrs in a clinical risk group
o Pregnant Women
o Frontline Health & Social care staff (without an employer led occupational health scheme)

Flu only
o Carers (in receipt of carers allowance or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person)
o Close contact of someone who is immunosuppressed

It is important to remember that the Flu and Covid vaccinations not only provide individual protection but also reduce transmission, to protect vulnerable members of the population.
Home Visits
Arrangements will be made for vaccinations to be given at home for patients in long stay residential care homes or for patients who are strictly housebound.
If you have chosen not to have either the Flu or the Covid (or both) vaccinations, please let us know, so that we can update your records.
Children
All children aged 2 to 3yrs (on 31.8.24) are eligible to receive the nasal flu vaccination at their GP Practice –please telephone 01995 910714 to arrange an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses.
School aged children will be offered a vaccination as part of the national Schools Immunisation programme.
We have a dedicated Flu telephone line which will be in operation between 2-5pm each weekday.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of our team, who will be happy to advise.
